Check scope and article type

Start with the Aims & Scope. Make the therapeutic or clinical question clear and explain its relevance to treatment, medicines use or patient care. Choose the closest category from the proposed article types; a category is not a promise of acceptance.

Prepare a clear manuscript

Use a descriptive title, an abstract appropriate to the study, clearly labelled sections, numbered tables and figures, and complete references. For original research, describe study design, setting, participants or materials, outcomes, analyses, results and limitations with enough detail for evaluation.

Prepare a separate title page with the author names, affiliations and corresponding author details. Keep the review copy free of identifying details if the proposed double-anonymous review model is adopted. Tables, figures and supplementary files should be named so they can be matched to citations in the text.

Use the right reporting guidance

Choose a reporting guideline that fits the design: for example, CONSORT for randomised trials, STROBE for observational studies, PRISMA for systematic reviews, or CARE for case reports. Explain any material deviations and submit a completed checklist if the final author instructions require it.

Registration before the first participant is enrolled is expected for clinical trials. Describe ethics approval or exemption, consent and the treatment of identifiable patient information as applicable. See Publication Ethics.

Include complete declarations

Be ready to supply contributions and approval by all authors; funding and the funder's role; competing interests; ethics approval and consent where applicable; clinical trial registration; data availability and access limits; and any use of AI-assisted tools in producing the work. Disclose overlapping publications, preprints and related manuscripts.

Patient consent for publication is needed when a patient could be identifiable in text or images. Do not include confidential patient records in supporting files.

Know how the paper will be reviewed

The proposed peer-review policy describes editorial screening, independent assessment and decisions. Remove author-identifying information from the review file only when the confirmed review model requires it; the title page remains separate.

Check before you submit

Use the submission checklist to confirm all files and statements. The official submission portal and journal email are being prepared. Please do not send manuscripts to an unverified address or before submissions open.
